The course content
The objective of the course is to give you the knowledge and confidence to obtain and carry out both portraits and weddings in a professional way.

You will have lots of opportunities to create your own portfolio of wedding and portrait photographs. The course is intensive and excellent value for money in terms of hours of tuition and potential payback.

The course content is unique in offering you very detailed tuition in lighting and photographic techniques with demonstrations in the studios and on location.

There is also the very important element of business education. A large proportion of people who come to us, wish to change direction and adopt a financially rewarding career. The business section gives you detailed advice on setting up your new business, buying appropriate equipment, financial and professional advice and techniques of practical marketing of your business.

Since the course takes place in our studios rather than in a hotel, you can observe and learn from the success of our photography and business experience first hand.

The method of tuition
You can't learn everything from books, particularly photographic ones! You can learn a lot of tricks of the trade and in addition bring all your previous knowledge together on a sound footing. Group sizes are limited to six which means plenty of individual tuition but the dynamics of working in a group and learning from one another are retained.

The location
Netley Abbey is a village on Southampton Water, close to Hamble - the renowned yachting centre. Netley Abbey is lucky enough to have two beautiful old churches, a ruined romantic abbey, a castle and a country park by the waterside. Yet it is five minutes away from Junction 8 of the M27 and about fifteen minutes from Southampton International Airport. Good rail links connect us with all parts of the country. No wonder we have course participants from so many areas of the world.

Post-course support
This course has been recognized for its quality in training successful photographers for over 20 years and is recommended by the MPA. For this reason we are now offering fully certificated courses in the knowledge that our long-standing reputation for quality gives them well-deserved value and recognition.
